Our Pastor

Brian R. Jackson, Pastor

Continuing a strong tradition of Spirit-led men of God, Broadway Baptist was pleased to welcome Pastor Jackson as our shepherd of the faith in July 2014. Supported in service by his wife Rachel and his three children, Gracey, Brayden and Kyler, Pastor stays true to the Word of God and faithfully strives to help the people of Broadway grow in their faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor was born in Mayfield, Kentucky (no doubt you may catch him sporting Wildcat Blue from time to time) and accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour April 4, 1986. On October 4, 1997, God placed a call on his life to preach and he readily responded. He married his wife Rachel (another Kentucky native with a beautiful Southern lilt) in 2001. Her heart for the ladies of Broadway Baptist, her enthusiastic loving spirit and warm smile are infectious.

Pastor completed an Associate of Arts degree at Paducah Community College in 1997 and concluded his Theology degree through Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia. He specializes in Expository Preaching and Pastoral Ministry. Other ministry experiences include working with Teens, Children’s Church and Sunday School prior to becoming the lead Pastor at his previous church. His style is approachable and down-to-earth allowing all to easily understand the Bible and God’s plan for his people.

When not filling the pulpit or participating in church activities, Pastor enjoys working with computers, staying physically fit and watching sports-especially baseball, football and basketball; though his Michigan-native church members are rapidly teaching him the finer points of ice hockey too! He may be a Wildcat at heart, but his favorite teams’ star players usually have the last name Jackson.

We (the people of Broadway Baptist Church Muskegon) couldn’t be more thrilled to see how the Lord is using Pastor to grow our church and reach our community for Christ.
